Hi, I’m Megan Lindner, the founder and creative force behind L. Meraki, and I decided to launch this business to fulfill my lifelong passion for interior design. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from the Art Institute of Houston and spent years designing luxury residential homes in some of Houston’s most prestigious neighborhoods, and then jumped over to the hospitality industry where I enjoyed designing hotels and restaurants in upscale resorts throughout Texas, Louisiana, Florida, and Las Vegas.
In 2009 I decided to take a break from interior design to work for my family’s business, where I poured my energy and creativity in exterior spaces designing swimming pools and backyard retreats for clients. After my dad’s passing in 2019, my husband and I took over the family business and I decided I wanted to find a way to do both exterior and interior design. I spent a few years perfecting ideas and operations and decided to launch L. Meraki. Wondering the meaning behind the name? L. is for Lindner, and Meraki is a Greek word meaning doing something with soul, creativity, or love — when you put “something of yourself” into what you’re doing, whatever it may be.
So whether you catch me outside or in, I love creating spaces that are not only beautiful but a representation of my client’s individuality. I believe your home should be a reflection of who you are, what you love, and the world you want to create for your family.
